Hello Dancers and musicians,
We wanted to give you all the updates for Tribal Quest Midwest

Columbus, Ohio
October 27, 28, 29, 2006

Gypsy Caravan (OR)
Zafira Dance Company (PA)
Urban Tribal (CA)
Raquy and the Cavemen (NY)
Judy Piazza (MI)
John Compton from Hahbi'Ru (CA)
Mizna with Jeff Rees, Doug Shafer, and JD Devros (OR)

What is Tribal Quest MidWest?
A meeting of the tribes
A place to come to study dance and music
A growing community of musicians, dancers, artists, families
A party
A festival full of Tribal belly dance and its fusion dances at their best

Tribal Quest festivals features workshops with the masters and innovators of Tribal Bellydance, including Folkloric, Tribal Fusion and other dance forms! There are also several music workshops on playing various instruments such as drums, percussion, strings, mijwiz, zils...
Workshops start Friday at noon and continue through Sunday afternoon. Friday night is a gathering with a light supper and a showcase highlighting participating dancers from around the country and a dance and music jam with Raquy and the Cavemen- have you heard them? Wow. great drumming and energy!
Saturday night is a blow out show in a theatre with the teachers, and following the show, an afterparty with more yummy food, schmoozing, music, and dancing! This is a great way to meet your fellow dancers and get to jam, and try out all your new moves!
And shopping! Oh yeah... shopping with vendors and costume designers selling their wares --ethnic jewelry, custom designed costumes, music.
We have gotten a few different locations to take care of us for the workshops and shows and parties, all within a few block radius so that we can walk from each place-very convenient!

So how cool is that?

We have received many people interested in volunteering- thank you so much in advance! I truly appreciate your desire to help out, especially at this first festival in Columbus. We need the help!

But we also need you to get registered! Some of you are waiting until the last minute, and that causes a dilemma. As the sponsor, I need to know you are coming and want to take the workshops these fabulous teachers are offering! And come to the show and parties too.

But not enough of you have registered.
So.
If you can sign up for the workshops before Friday, September 22, then we will know if the festival can continue!

You can register by Paypal online

Thanks for your support and hope to see you soon in Columbus!
