During the warm weather Richard Cisneros of The Totems and Tree of Life hosts a Thursday Drum Circle at one of the Blue Ash Starbucks, but it's currently suspended until they find an indoor space.

we drum to african, middle eastern and tribal free form beats. Lately we've been playing some Latin.
I'm the only middle eastern drummer there. We also use any type of percussion....primarily djembes and ashikos is what people have because we have several drum makers that are a part of our group. We also encourage melody instruments....I bring my giant medieval bagpipes, a melodica, tin whistles and various flutes.

It's always a great time and the establishment is awesome!


In Blue Ash we have the Drummers Cooperative....it's more of an instructional gathering. Nevik has given workshops there.
