Anyone know of any ongoing drum circles (with or without fire) around the Cincinnati area?
Snakes and I are giving a workshop at the Victory of Light Festival this weekend and I was going to try to type up a little information sheet, listing a few places drummers/dancers could go for drum circles. If you have any information (when and where) please let me know.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Drum circles
Mon, December 4, 2006 - 3:11 AMEvery Wednesday at the Buzz Thru Cafe in Loveland from 7-10 is the 3rd largest Meetup.com drum circle group in the country.
I an assistant organizer...... you should join our group....we have over 122 members!!
Cincinnati Drum Circle & Tribal Dance
drumcircle.meetup.com/41/
we drum to african, middle eastern and tribal free form beats. Lately we've been playing some Latin.
I'm the only middle eastern drummer there. We also use any type of percussion....primarily djembes and ashikos is what people have because we have several drum makers that are a part of our group. We also encourage melody instruments....I bring my giant medieval bagpipes, a melodica, tin whistles and various flutes.
It's always a great time and the establishment is awesome!
In Blue Ash we have the Drummers Cooperative....it's more of an instructional gathering. Nevik has given workshops there.

finally even in Dayton they have a meetup group
drumcircle.meetup.com/192/
hope this helps!
